Join us on a captivating slide-based virtual journey through southern Sardinia, a land where ancient civilizations, colorful cities, and dramatic landscapes come together. From the lively streets of Cagliari to the archaeological treasures of Nora, the medieval charm of Iglesias, and the unique traditions of smaller towns, we will explore a side of Sardinia shaped by thousands of years of history.
Through beautiful photographs, maps, historic images, and detailed commentary, we will discover the many cultures that left their mark on the island, including the mysterious Nuragic people, Phoenicians, Carthaginians, Romans and Spanish rulers. Our journey will also take us through the historic quarters of Cagliari, with its hilltop Castello district, panoramic bastions, narrow streets, and layers of architecture. Moving beyond the capital, we will visit some of southern Sardinia’s most remarkable cultural destinations. We will discover Nora, one of the island’s most important ancient cities, overlooking the sea with its Roman theatre, mosaics, temples, and baths. We will travel to Iglesias and Carbonia, where Sardinia’s mining heritage tells a powerful story of industry, migration, and daily life, and explore towns where Catalan and Spanish influences are still visible in architecture, traditions, and local identity.

How to Join:
The tour will be hosted on Zoom. To register, you are required to enter your full name (first and last name). After the registration, you will receive via email a personal link to access the virtual event. To protect your privacy, your camera will be disabled during the event.
