Panicale Virtual Walking Tour – The Most Beautiful Terrace on the Trasimeno Lake

Savour the slow pace of life: come explore the charming town of Panicale, one of the most enchanting natural terraces on the Trasimeno lake in Umbria region. Olive trees around the castle walls, cobbled streets, medieval atmosphere and stunning views of Trasimeno Lake, for these reasons Panicale has been recognized as part of “ the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy”.

Panicale is a place of great charm and magic, a medieval town still surrounded by walls, but its origins are much older: the Roman soldiers who escaped the defeat of Trasimeno found refuge on this hill. Centuries later, during the Renaissance, Panicale lived a period of economic, artistic and cultural development that favourited the presence of great artists like Il Perugino, the “Divine Painter”.

Are you ready to discover one of the most fascinating hamlets of Umbria? Our local guide Patrizia will show you the highlights of this ancient city: you will virtually stroll through the picturesque alleyways and you will admire a splendid 180° view over the plain of Lake Trasimeno that leads the eye from the rolling hills of Siena to the most rugged mountains of the Umbria-Marche.
