Life under the Ash Virtual Tour – Mount Vesuvius, Pompeii and the other archaeological sites
Step into a time machine and travel back nearly 2,000 years to the infamous date of August 24th, 79 CE. On this fateful day, the world witnessed one of the most catastrophic natural disasters in Roman history – the eruption of Mount Vesuvius. Imagine the serene landscape suddenly transformed into chaos as Mount Vesuvius unleashed its fury. A towering column of ash, stones, and scorching gases soared 21 miles into the sky, blanketing the cities of Pompeii, Herculaneum, Oplontis, and Stabiae.
While the eruption was the biggest tragedy of its time, the falling ash also kept the buildings, frescoes streets, pots, and bodies incredibly well preserved. Join us on this NEW immersive virtual tour as we will learn more about one of the most dangerous volcanoes in the world and explore the wonders of these ancient cities hidden for centuries. We will admire their buildings, temples, thermal baths, and luxury villas giving you a unique insight into the ancient Roman life.
