New Year’s Eve celebration is approaching so quickly, and it is the moment to celebrate in the Italian way and have fun.
Join us and prepare the perfect aperitivo at home!
The Italian aperitivo isn’t just about a cocktail recipe but it’s a real Italian way of life and social moment, almost a ritual!
As afternoon drifts into evening the Italians are spilling into the streets with brightly colored drinks in their hands, preparing themselves for dinner. Let’s bake together three types of Italian crostini (appetizers) and let’s learn everything about one of the most famous Italian cocktails: the Spritz.
Let’s get started with the ingredients!
For the Crostini:
- Bread
- Olive oil (better if extra virgin), salt, garlic
- Olives (black and some green ones)
- Gorgonzola cheese (blue-veined Italian cheese, made from unskimmed cow’s milk)
- Walnuts
- Cherry tomatoes
- Mozzarella cheese (cherry size)
- Anchovies
- Butter
Tools:
- Little spoon, fork, knife
- Oven
- 2 boards to chop ingredients
- A board or nice dish to present our crostini
- 2-3 small/medium bowls
- Sticks or skewers
For the Drink
- Aperol
- Prosecco wine
- Soda water
- One lemon
- One orange
Tools:
- Wine glasses
- Small glass (like a shot glass) or item to use as a liquid-unit
- Spoon
- Ice (a lot)
- Peeler for the orange skin
