Lido Metaponto Beach

Renowned as one of the most beautiful beaches of the Ionian Sea in Basilicata, Lido Metaponto Beach is a family-friend and organized beach. With shallow waters and watersports activities, this picturesque beach is ideal for swimming for both adults and children.

Nova Siri beach

Nova Siri Marina beach is the last of the Basilicata coast on the border with Calabria. The ancient village of Nova Siri stands on the San Nicola stream near Matera. Nova Siri Marina beach stretches along the Ionian coast.

Our tip: Visit Policoro Center and his Archaeological Park of Herakleia where the ruins of the ancient Greek cities of Siris and Heraclea are preserved between the mouth of the Agri river and that of the Sinni river.

Basilicata has a mediterranean climate with hot dry summers and mild winters. If you enjoy hot perfect sunny days the best time to visit Basilicata is between June and September. The hottest month of the year is July with an average daily maximum of 35 C and an average low of 24 C.
